Passing on a 70 degree day on 12/1, Quat and Nutt went back to the most reliable local December course of the streak. Grand View has been the December round 8 of 9 times, including the last 7 times. Rain bombarded the course on the last hole, but that was no match to the snow we battled earlier in the year in February.
Month 105 – North Park - 11/18/2012
3 years to the date from the last time they played there, Quat and Nutt embarked on a 1:30 round at North Park. A fall day where the weather started in the 50s and ended in the low 40s on the last 2 holes after the sun had set. Nuttall hit an all time shot on the 15th hole, which is a brutal par 3. Nutt landed about 5 feet, but missed a near impossible bending putt.
Month 104 – Reserve Run – 10/7/2012
Quat, Nutt and Stoller teamed up for another 3-some, but this time in Ohio. The trio held off some potential rain and played a picturesque fall round. On the 13th hole, Quat landed a shot from 145 out to 6 feet and Nuttall topped him with an approach to 2 feet.
Month 102 – Castle Shannon – 8/12/2012
A rare trip back to Ohio as Quat and Nuttall decided to take on Castle Shannon. The general concern that the course may not get enough play and shut down was quickly put to rest as a huge crowd came out, which made for a slow round.
Quat finally parred the Gauntlet after many failed attempts. After the round, the duo attempted to eat at 2 places (Hot Dog shop in Robinson and Police Station Pizza in Ambridge) that were both closed and the day ended with a thud, but the trip was good as always.

Month 101 – Pittsburgh National (Nuttall - 7/7/2012) - Shelridge (Quat – 7/29/2012)
Nuttall and Stoller hit up Pittsburgh National early in the month. They played with a quasi-member from Scotland and Nutall carded an impressive 77.
After a few trips during the month and some North Carolina beach golf, Quat got his round in with Mr. Jill the weekend of Jenna’s 1st birthday. Mr. Jill shot 75-73 in the 2 rounds played and Quat scored terribly, but the 101 was the one that counted. The pics shown are from the course in Wilmington NC
Month 100 – Oakmont Country Club – 6/7/2012
The latest landmark in the Streak proved to be the best course to date and probably forever. Gerry Hickel made an offer in about 2008 that if we would get to 100, we should celebrate it at Oakmont. Years later and much to the credit of Hick, he made it happen. Quat, Nuttall and Mr. Jill teamed up with Hick for an amazing day.
Arriving early and treated to 1st class operations all around, the foursome had a late afternoon tee time. The course was as advertised and the weather held up for the most part. 3 thunder delays were no issue as we got to spend some additional time on one of the world’s great courses. After the round, we had a meal and walked around the grounds and just took in the history that comes with such a special place.
The pictures came out great and the efforts of earlier parts of the streak were rewarded. The 100th round was in the books, but that was a subplot for the most part as Oakmont was, and always is the story. Hick was an incredible host and our appreciation may never be fully expressed for a great, great day.
