Month 111 – Totteridge - 05/05/2013

Spring arrived in Pittsburgh in early May and the 1st weekend of the month was just perfect.  Nutt, Quat and Stoller set out for a 7:40 tee time at Totteridge.  On the 7th hole, the threesome behind hit into our group only to get the group.  That seemed to pass and wake up Stoller's putter.  After nailing a few lengthy putts, the trio made the turn.  Nuttall drove well all day, Stoller was shaking off some offseason rust and Quat was just plain miserable for most of the round.

On the 14th hole, the threesome made a bet that any hole in one would result in a bar tour after the round that will account for 1 beer every 1/2 hour should anyone ace a hole.  That bet is now pending all Summer 2013.

On the 15th hole, Nutt laced a 338 yard drive with the wind at his back.  Quat hit a five wood about 210 yards.  Quat laid up with a 7 wood to 117 feet and Nuttall missed the green.  On the 3rd shot, Quat hit a wedge about 6 feet past the hole and it started back and went in for his 1st career eagle (ball pictured).  Nutt had a great up and down and the threesome played the hole 2 under.

On 17, the wind was at our face so no one was able to get to the green on 1.  Quat went 5 wood and left himself about 200 yards in.  The 7 wood came back and put one about 4 feet for the best 3 hole stretch of his life with eagle, bogey, birdie.

Month 110 – Pheasant Ridge - 04/28/2013

Spring still refused to arrive in 2013 and the 27th of April featured a perfect day.  Sadly, it wasn't perfect for the schedule so Quat and Nutt hit up Pheasant Ridge for a tee time as rain was in the forecast.  Nutt had it going on early and was 1 under through 7.  A triple bogey on 8 for Nutt derailed the round.  Quat never found a rhythm and the tandem played the final 10 holes in a light rain.  At the end of the round, the only number worth mentioning was 110 as in the consecutive month.  Spring has to come in May... right?
